Murder Confession Admitted Into Court

DUNKIRK-The confession reportedly made at the murder scene of 141 Lake Shore Dr. East early Friday morning was admitted as evidence in City Court.

Rebecca A. Ruiz, 28, of the aforementioned address, reportedly said the following in the presence of Dunkirk Police Sergeant Mark Gruber, “I shot him! Oh my God, is he dead? Save him! I didn’t know it was Julian (Duman). I shot through the door. It was a .22 I think. I threw it over there and my cousin grabbed it. I thought it was Waldo (Duprey).”

The statement will be used in the court of law as the case progresses.

Ruiz was charged with 2nd degree Murder.

  1. This is truly a very sad story, for both families being she didn’t mean to kill her boyfriend, she did not know he was the one at the door. Yes again I say very sad, but also you don’t shoot through a door unless you know for a fact that what or who is on the other side of it is absolutely going to harm you. You definitely don’t shoot through a door, here is a great example why… I feel sorry for the bf family and the gf, she will be mentally lost and messed up for the rest of her life. And I’m sad for the children of both, they lost parents. God bless both families.
