WESTFIELD-A Jamestown man drove drunk after stealing a box truck early Saturday morning according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Steven F. Kennedy, 35, allegedly failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and pulled out in front of a deputy’s marked patrol car.
The box truck’s back door was also open and spewing debris about the roadway per the Sheriff’s Office.
Kennedy is accused of stealing the box truck from a business in Jamestown while under the influence of alcohol.
Kennedy was charged with DWI, multiple counts of possession of stolen property and various traffic violations.
He was committed to county jail without bail.
The Jamestown Police Department may have further charges pending according the report issued.
