Slippin’ And A Slidin’; Winter Is Abruptly Back, Before Spring Returns To Round Out February

JAMESTOWN – It’s been a battle between Heatmiser and Snowmiser this week, as Winter has returned for Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo keeps the Winter Weather Advisory in place for the Southern Tier (Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties) until 4:00 PM this afternoon.

Expect snow totals between one and two inches in the western Southern Tier, with higher amounts eastward; up to possibly 5 inches there, according to VIPIRCast, our exclusive in-house computer model.

Any snow that falls won’t make it past this week, as Heatmiser wins this next battle and brings back a spring-time feel to end February (average High for this time of year is 35, by the way).
