U.S. Women’s Hockey Team Wins Gold

PYEONGCHANG, SOUTH KOREA – A Western New York native and member of Team U.S.A. Woman’s Hockey Team is now a gold metal-winning Olympian.

For the first time in 20 years, Emily Pfalzer and Team U.S.A. Women’s Hockey defeated Canada during an early Thursday morning contest.

The game went into a shootout, where Team U.S.A. won, 3-2.

Current medal standings as of 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
