NEW YORK – Hall of fame Quarterback Jim Kelly’s road to recovery will be a long one.
Late Saturday night his wife Jill posted on her Instagram account that his upper jaw had to be reconstructed using his left femur bone.
Kelly also shared that doctors had to remove multiple cancerous tumors and lymph nodes.
“The doctors told us what to expect, but nothing could have prepared us,” Kelly posted.
Jim Kelly is expected to remain in a New York hospital for at least two weeks where he is being fed through a feeding tube.
