Salmonella Outbreak Prompts Massive Egg Recall

BROOK, IN – Rose Acre Farms in Indiana recalled more than 200 million eggs over fears of Salmonella contamination.

At least twenty two people have gotten sick because of the eggs, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The batches were sold in nine states, including New York.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

The FDA says anyone who bought the eggs should throw them away or return them to the place were they were purchased for a refund.

If you want more information, you can go the FDA’s website and check under “recalls.”
