City Domestic Dispute Leads To Foot Pursuit

JAMESTOWN – Jordan T. Adams, 32, of Jamestown, was arrested early Friday following a domestic incident.

Jamestown Police said they responded to a domestic dispute between a male and a female on the corner of Winsor and Crescent Streets. Adams allegedly struck the female, and had her pinned on a car near 17 Cross St.

When officers arrived, Adams allegedly fled on foot and ignored officers commands to stop. Adams was taken into custody after a pursuit that lasted multiple city blocks.

Adams allegedly refused to be handcuffed and struggled with officers. After investigation, officers learned that Adams had an order of protection to stay away from the female involved.

Adams was charged with first-degree criminal contempt  and aggravated family offense due to prior domestic incident convictions. Adams is currently in Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment.
