Heroin, Needles Found During Traffic Stop

BUSTI-Two Jamestown residents were arrested Sunday evening after officers seized heroin and other drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Southwestern Dr. according to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.

Kristina D. Joy, 31, 883 Big Tree Rd., was allegedly under the influence of drugs. Joy, who was the driver, reportedly possessed heroin, multiple syringes and other drug paraphernalia in her vehicle.

Joy was charged with DWAI Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, Loud Exhaust and Crossing Hazard Markings of Roadway.

Aaron R. Porter, 29, 174 Thayer St., Jamestown, had a hypodermic instrument on him during the stop per the report.

Both will appear in Town of Busti Court at a later date.
