CHAUTAUQUA-18 time Grammy Award Winning singer Aretha Franklin has canceled her scheduled performance at the new Amphitheater at Chautauqua Institution this summer; Jay Leno will reportedly perform in her place.

According to the Institution’s website, the 75-year-old reportedly canceled due to illness.

Back in 2014, Jay Leno performed to a sold-out crowd in downtown Jamestown at the formerly known Jamestown Savings Bank Arena as part of Lucy Comedy Fest.

In 2016, ABC News reported that Franklin canceled a number of shows across the country after doctors ordered her to rest.
