Silver Creek Man Accused Of Stealing Checks, Forging Owner’s Name Numerous Times

SILVER CREEK-A Silver Creek man was arrested Friday evening on a warrant for stealing checks and forging the owner’s name five times according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Evan G. Ward, 21, 9 Hickory St., was charged with five counts each of 2nd degree Forgery, 2nd degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Petit Larceny.

Ward is in county jail on $15,000 cash/$30,000 property bond. He will reportedly appear in Village of Silver Creek Court at a later date to answer the charges.
