Young’s Trial Most Likely To Start Next Year

BUTLER(Pa.)-Butler County Public Defender Joseph Smith told WNYNewsNow late Friday afternoon 19-year-old area native Jonathan Young’s trial for a Slippery Rock arson will more than likely be delayed until next year.

Smith said his client has yet to receive a plea offer from the District Attorney’s office and that they are awaiting a response to a plea of mental insanity.

Smith said he’s also seeking postponement for jury selection, which is currently scheduled for next Thursday and Friday.
