Boil Water Order To Remain In Effect Until At Least Tuesday

MAYVILLE-A Boil Water Order for all customers of the Village of Fredonia Public Water System will remain in effect for the Village of Fredonia and the Town of Pomfret until at least tomorrow according to a Monday morning announcement from The Chautauqua County Department of Health & Human Services.

One State University of Fredonia at New York student told WNYNewsNow this order has forced them to purchase water bottles, a move which could be inconvenient due to either a lack of transportation or funds.

This order reportedly cannot be lifted until a second complete round of water sampling is completed satisfactorily. It’s important to note, however, that the Conservative Water Order previously issued was lifted.

Here was our original report.
