Samples Show Fredonia Water Is Safe To Drink Again

FREDONIA-A series of water samples collected last Saturday and this past Monday show the water is safe to drink and can be used for all purposes in the Village of Fredonia and previously affected water districts in the Town of Pomfret according to the County’s Department of Health and Human Services.

The boil water order issued last Saturday was lifted yesterday as a result.

The Village of Fredonia had a major water main leak on October 21 that was repaired the same day but due to a loss of pressure in the system, a boil water order was placed into effect as a precaution.
