Body Discovered In Chadakoin River

JAMESTOWN – The body of 61-year-old Jamestown man Robert Cavender was discovered around 6:30 AM Monday morning in the Chadakoin River in the area of Victoria Avenue at Institute Street, according to the Jamestown Police Department. 

Investigators reportedly determined that Cavender had fallen into the river at some point overnight and drowned. The death was reportedly ruled accidental after an autopsy by the Erie County Medical Center and no criminal activity was involved.
