Dunkirk Man Allegedly Steals Firearms From Residence



PORTLAND – A Dunkirk man allegedly stole seven firearms from a Town of Portland residence in October, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

An arrest warrant was issued for Jarrett J. Sikes, 39, and he was arrested Tuesday on charges of third-degree grand larceny (Town of Portland) and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property (City of Dunkirk) as a portion of firearms were reportedly retrieved form his residence.

Sikes was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. Sikes will appear in both the City of Dunkirk and the Town of Portland Courts at a later date.
