CLYMER – Peek’N Peak Resort opened some of its ski and snowboard slopes this past weekend with a mix of natural and man-made snow on the trails.

The conditions were great as there was sunshine and machine-groomed slopes. So far, the resort has just six of its 26 trails open to skiers and snowboarders. Three lifts are in operation.

The snowboard park, however, is not open yet.

Ski patrol at the resort said its important to check the condition of your gear before hitting the slopes, and throughout the season as well. Officials said that even experienced adults can benefit from the tips.
