A Few Lake Snow Flakes Today, A Dry And Cold Tuesday

JAMESTOWN – The temps have been going up and down over the past week and it will be much fo the same for this week.

Lake Erie will potentially generate a weak snow band throughout the afternoon today. Not expecting much in the accumulations department.

Most everybody should be under one inch with the better chances for one inch confined to the highest hills of the Southern Tier, which is often the case.

High pressure builds in tomorrow leading to mostly sunny skies. I think by the time the afternoon rolls around, the Southern Tier could break out into full sunshine.

However, all that solar radiation will not help with the temperatures. We will struggle to make it out of the 20s Tuesday, thanks to a northwest wind pulling down Arctic air.

The pattern starts to change going into Wednesday as the winds take on a more south to southwest direction, warming us up into the 40s.

While Wednesday will be much of the same with nice sunshine, a few more clouds are possible throughout the day.

Some areas will make at run at 50 on Friday out ahead of another Cold front. The rain picks up in intensity and will cause some harm to the skiing conditions across Western New York.

Quick Solutions 7 Day Forecast

To make things interesting, the temps fall back into the 30s after the front sweeps on through. It also becomes windy across the region with wind gusts possibly upwards of 40 MPH.
