STEM Wars, hosted by ‘Dream It Do It WNY’, starts at 9 a.m. featuring a wide variety of technology related events and a career search for high school students in Chautauqua County.

In year’s past the event has brought together more than 900 students from around the region.

Event organizers say students partake in fun and educational events, featuring STEM activities, competitions, a local business and manufacturing career fair, and on-site team building/leadership skills projects.

Middle school and high school students are invited to participate each year and work for weeks in advance to prepare various projects for competition.

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math. Event organizers hope to inspire youth to pick a career in that field.
