JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown mother is facing charges after Jamestown Police said her children were found in poor living conditions at a house of Price Street, early Sunday.

Jamestown Police Officers responded to a welfare check just after 12:30 Sunday morning. When police arrived they reported finding two children, ages four and two living in filth, with poor hygiene and without food or water.

Police charged the mother, Cyrstal L. Depew, 27, with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Child Protective Services took custody of the children at the scene, according to police.

Depew was taken to city jail pending arraignment.
