JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to run a male victim over with her vehicle during an incident in the area of 839 Lafayette St. Sunday afternoon, according to the Jamestown Police Department. 

Police said they observed a vehicle driven by Susan M. Walker, 27, down a sidewalk and onto the roadway. When police attempted to pull Walker over, she allegedly began to flee in her vehicle.

Walker exited her vehicle on Cherry Street before she allegedly attempted to flee on foot, according to police. Investigation reportedly revealed that a child was in the vehicle during the incident.


Walker is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. She was taken to Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment.
