Firefighters will be at the four corners in Falconer, Work and Main Streets, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fire officials said the current ambulance has seen significant use and experienced severe wear and tear since it was put in service more than 10 years ago.

Emergency calls have significantly increased over the years in Falconer. Just last year department members and apparatus responded to 719 calls dedicating 7,546 man hours.

Over 75 percent of call volume was EMS related. So far this year the department has responded to 290 calls.

The department’s EMS service runs solely on monetary donations, the dedication of 20 basic volunteer EMTs and four Advanced Life Support providers.

EMS providers will be parked at the nearby CVS parking lot to educate community about services they provide, how to become an EMT and to conduct tours of the new and old ambulance.
