LITTLE VALLEY – A Town of Busti woman plead guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the death of Busti man Wilfredo Colon-Rodriguez, Jr. Monday morning in Cattaraugus County Court.

WNYNewsNow’s Matt Hummel reports that Marylou Johnson accepted a sentencing commitment of two-to-six years behind bars. Johnson gave up her right to appeal as part of the plea agreement.

A motion by the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office to revoke bail was denied by the judge.

In April 2018, Colon-Rodriguez Jr. was reported missing by a neighbor who became concerned after not speaking with him for several days.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department then opened a missing persons case. His body was later found on Swanson Hill Road in Randolph.

  1. 5-6 years for killing an innocent man …….wtf. Not right she should’ve gotten a lot longer like life. A life sentence for taking the a life sounds fair enough. She killed him so I think she should spend the rest of her life in jail. Nope not going to happen cause she’ll ger out and hurt someone else again and get a little sentence on that one too ………. smh.

  2. Wow. I agree.if I were his family,I’d be looking for at least 25… if gender and ethnicity were removed, how would this have differed??? Not knowing details, could she have saved this man’s life if she had stayed, called 911,and administered at least an attempt to save him, per the dispatcher direction? SMHx2! Shes “lucky” she didnt do this in Texas,Florida etc…..
