Gina Kron, Cassadaga Tim Horton’s Franchise Owner, told WNYNewsNow that the community is very welcoming to the new coffee shop. The brand new restaurant sits where the iconic White Horse Inn used to be.

“It (the White Horse Inn) has such deep roots in this community,” said Kron. “We felt bad the building had to be torn down but it was in very bad shape; but we are honoring our roots and the ‘White Horse in the Village.”

Former White Horse Inn owner Dick Watt was made an honorary ambassador for the day. Watt said, after owning the former restaurant for 25 years, he is happy to see new life at the property.

“We need something to attract people to the town, and this certainly attracts people off the highway,” said Watt.

Kron said the project has been in the works for the past two years. She expects this to be one of White Horse Innthe busiest Tim Hortons in the area.
