WESTERN NEW YORK – Last month was the hottest June ever recorded on Earth.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, NOAA, says the Average Global Temperature was 1.7 degrees fahrenheit warmer than the 20th century average.

Record temps affected Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada and South America.

The heat also brought Antarctic Sea ice coverage to a record low, according to NOAA.

The report was released as several cities in the northeast endure dangerous heat.
