RIPLEY – Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello announced Wednesday that he and key project partners will be discussing the final results of the New York Gateway Center at Ripley Market Study and Concept Plan on Friday, October 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Meeder’s Restaurant, 19 E. Main St.

The study’s purpose was to investigate the viability of creating a Gateway Center near the Shortman Road Exit off of Interstate Route 90 in the Town of Ripley, N.Y. The market study investigated the type of services to be offered and the scale of those offerings, which lead to the development of a conceptual plan and the approximate costs associated with the facility’s construction.

The feasibility study was a collaborative effort undertaken by the County Executive’s Office, Chautauqua County Division of Economic Development, County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA), Town of Ripley, Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau, and other key stakeholders.

The study was completed by Clark Patterson Lee (CPL), along with its sub-consultant RKG, and was funded by the County and the CCIDA.

Borrello and CPL Representatives will be joined by Ripley Town Supervisor Doug Bowen, and Mark Geise, Deputy County Executive for Economic Development/CEO of the CCIDA.
