Another Day Of Sunshine; Rain Showers Prevalent On Saturday

JAMESTOWN – High pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern across the Northeast, leading to sunshine and seasonable temperatures. The area will be brushed by a deep storm system, making parts of the weekend a bit unsettled.

Lot of sunshine will take us through the afternoon once again today with highs 62 to 69.

Another mainly clear sky tonight with patchy river valley fog redeveloping by morning. Lows 39 to 48.

We will round out the week on a strong note. Another sunny afternoon with a few more clouds mixing in from time to time. Highs 64 to 72.

A deep storm system currently producing a blizzard in portions of the upper midwest will move well to our west and northwest over the weekend. Because of the nature of the size of the storm, Western New York will be brushed by the warmer side of the system on Saturday.

While we are not expect any sort of winter weather problems here due to the “warmer” air on the eastern side of the storm, on-again and off-again rain showers will be the case throughout much of the day, ending early on Sunday with some partial sunshine.

Weather settles down early next before another system moves our way on Wednesday, bringing another chance for rain showers and below average temperatures.
