CELORON – A benefit to raise money for a local woman’s fight against lung cancer is scheduled to take place Sunday.
Event organizers say the benefit will be held to rise money for Sheri Martin’s medical bills and general expenses.
Martin’s family says she was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer that has spread to her adrenal glands, liver and bones. Martin is only on chemotherapy because the cancer gone too far for radiation.
On chemotherapy Martin was given six to twelve months to live, a family member said.
The spaghetti dinner will take place Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Herman Kent Celoron Legion Post 777.
In addition food, entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and a door prize will be available.
Tickets are $8 pre-sale or $10 at the door.
