Bills Down Cowboys 26-15 On Thanksgiving, Clinch A Winning Record

DALLAS – Behind strong overall performances by Josh Allen and former Cowboy Cole Beasley, the Buffalo Bills handed the Dallas Cowboys their third Thanksgiving Day loss in their last four on Thursday, defeating them 26-15. 

Buffalo finished the game on a 26-8 run after Dallas took a 7-0 lead from a touchdown on their first drive of the game, leaving them scoreless until allowing another touchdown with 4:01 left in the game.

With the win, Buffalo moved to 9-3 on the season, guaranteeing them a winning record for the second time in three seasons and just the fourth time in their last 20.





Josh Allen completed more than 76% of his passes, finishing 19 out of 24 for 231 yards and a touchdown without any turnovers, earning a turkey leg after the game.

Allen added another 43 yards and a touchdown rushing, getting his eighth rushing one of the year, which leads the team and matches his total from his rookie season.

Playing his first seven seasons with the Cowboys, Cole Beasley caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in his first game against his old team, his first 100-yard receiving game of the season.





















Devin Singletary finished with 101 scrimmage yards, rushing for 63 and catching three balls for another 38 and a touchdown.

John Brown became the first wide receiver in Buffalo Bills history to throw a touchdown pass, throwing a 28-yard toss to Singletary to give Buffalo a 13-7 lead with 1:52 left in the first half, it would be a lead they would not relinquish.

On Buffalo’s defensive side, Micah Hyde led the way with 10 total tackles.

Ed Oliver finished with two of the team’s four sacks on Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.









Trent Murphy had four total tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.

Star Lotulelei reeled in his first career interception off of Prescott.

For Dallas, Prescott added more stats to his league-leading pass yardage total, putting the ball in the air 49 times, completing 32 of the pass attempts for 355 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Prescott also fumbled twice, losing one of them.

Ezekiel Elliott carried the ball a dozen times for 71 yards and caught seven passes for another 66.

Amari Cooper caught a game-high eight passes for 85 yards.

In his 16th season all with the Cowboys, Jason Witten caught his 71st career touchdown pass, three away from breaking the franchise record of 73, set by Dez Bryant.

Witten caught six passes for 42 yards, including his 1,200th career reception.

On the defensive side of the ball, Jaylon Smith finished with a game high 14 total tackles.

Cowboys veteran Sean Lee added a dozen.

Jourdan Lewis, a cornerback, finished with six tackles and two of Dallas’s four sacks on Allen.

Dallas, falling to 6-6 with the loss, will be on the road for their next game for Thursday Night Football on Dec. 5 at 8:20, as they will take on the 6-6 Chicago Bears, who won their Thanksgiving Day Game Thursday afternoon 24-20 over the Detroit Lions.

Meanwhile, now at 9-3, Buffalo will be back at home on Dec. 1, as they will host the 9-2 Baltimore Ravens, who are on a seven-game winning streak, and have outscored their last two opponents 86-13.
