Four Pets Die During Ripley House Fire

RIPLEY – Four pets died during a house fire Saturday evening on Cemetery Road in the Town of Ripley.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was first reported just 5:30 p.m. at 6340 Cemetery Rd.

The Ripley Fire Department was assisted by Westfield and Sherman crews with extinguishing the blaze.





Deputies say the dwelling was not occupied at the time of the fire, but four domestic animals were lost due to this incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
