Bonnies Look To End Regular Season On High Note

OLEAN – With their 2020 regular season drawing to a close the St. Bonaventure Bonnies Men’s Basketball team have two games remaining.

The Bonnies will have two games this week, with their first one being the team’s Senior Day game in which they will host St. Joseph’s University on ESPN+.

To cap off the 2020 regular season, St. Bonaventure will be on the road to face off vs. the St. Louis Billikens.





St. Bonaventure’s Men’s Basketball team is 18-11, losing their last two games including a 73-65 loss over La Salle University Saturday.

This season, sophomore guard Kyle Lofton leads the team in scoring, averaging nearly 15 a game, along with a team leading 172 assists.

At the center position, sophomore Osun Osunniyi is averaging more than 11 points and nearly nine rebounds.





















Osunniyi is also far and away the team’s leader in blocked shots with 56, with runner-up Dominick Welch only having nine.

In his second year as a Bonnie, Welch is averaging nearly 12 points along with seven rebounds, leading the team with 196 boards.

Welch also leads the team with 63 three-pointers.

This year’s NCAA March Madness will begin on Mar. 15.
