Pump Station Repairs Likely To Cause Discolored Water In Falconer, Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities says scheduled repair work at their Cassadaga Water Pump Station will likely cause discolored water next week for some customers.

Rebecca Robbins, the utility’s Communications Coordinator, says next Wednesday residents in the Village of Falconer and north side of Jamestown will most likely see the discoloration.

She reminds customers to check for discolored water before doing laundry. If water is discolored, Robbins says it could take 12 to 24 hours to clear.

Work at the pump station is scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to be completed before noon.
