ALBANY — The New York State Division of Consumer Protection is warning residents about a state freshwater fishing license scam.

Fraudulent websites claiming to sell New York State Freshwater Fishing licenses are, instead, scamming users to gather and use people’s personal information.

Officials said the only legitimate site on which to buy a state fishing license is decals.licensing.east.kalkomey.com
