JAMESTOWN – We’ll bring some heat and a little humidity for the end of the workweek with a few showers and thundershowers this weekend before a big cool down occurs next week.

High pressure continues to rule our weather pattern through the next day. We will reintroduce a few showers and rumbles over the weekend before we shift the pattern to favor a much cooler airmass into next week.

Mainly clear skies will take us through tonight with some areas of patchy fog developing along the valley locations. Lows 59 in the valleys, 67 at the Lake Erie shoreline.

Lots of sunshine will be in store for Friday with highs 80 to 88. While the humidity will come up just a bit, it will still remain rather manageable.

Heading into the weekend, a few showers and storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday. While neither day will be a washout, you could be dodging some raindrops from time to time. Highs in the upper 70’s.

We will keep a small chance for a thundershower on Monday with highs in the mid 70’s.

High pressure returns through the middle fo next week with a deep upper-level trough digging into the much of the Continental US. The trough will allow a surge of much cooler and refreshing air to dump into the northeast, dropping temperatures and the humidity. Highs will fall into the lower 70’s on Tuesday and mid 70’s on Wednesday.
