SHERIDAN – An 85-year-old woman died after a propane truck struck her sedan at the intersection of Center Road and South Roberts Road in Sheridan on Thursday.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says that Henrietta Graziano did not see the truck approaching when she pulled out in front of the truck.

The collision caused the truck to overturn and leak liquid propane on the road.

Graziano was airlifted to the Hamot Hospital where she later died. The driver of the truck, a 52-year-old Dunkirk man, was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital with injuries.

The Chautauqua County HAZMAT Team assisted several local fire departments to clean up the spilt propane.

Center and South Roberts Roads were closed down for a period of time while the vehicles were removed.
