JAMESTOWN – We’ll have another day of nice weather to go through on Tuesday before a deepening storm system passes close the region bringing the chance for some scattered showers on Wednesday while becoming breezy as well.

An area of high pressure setup to our south will continue to bring in nice and sunny weather for the day on Tuesday. That high will slide on out and allow a deep storm system to pass through the Great Lakes region throughout the middle of the week, bringing the return for some rain showers and gusty winds. A shift in the pattern late in the week will usher in much milder air to start the weekend.

Lots of stars will dot the sky tonight but still remaining chilly. Lows 36 in the deepest valleys, 48 at the Lake Erie shoreline.

The sunshine will be in good supply on Tuesday while becoming a bit warmer. Highs 65 lakeshore, 74 inland.

As a deep upper-level Low passes to our north and west on Wednesday, scattered showers will spread across the across throughout the day. The winds will also come up with the passing system, 15 to 30 MPH with gusts likely reaching 45 MPH in places. As it stands now, the wind gusts should remaining below advisory criteria. Highs 61 to 68.

A few leftover showers could be possible as the system pulls away from the region with partial sunshine in between. Cooler. Highs in the mid 50’s.

Heading into the weekend, a big pattern shift will take place which will equate out to a surge of much warmer air coming in from the south along with the return of abundant sunshine with a high pressure ridge.

Highs will go back into the lower 60’s on Friday, soaring into the lower to mid 70’s for both Saturday and Sunday.
