JAMESTOWN – High pressure moving across the area will continue to clear the skies out this afternoon, that will provide fair dry weather through at least Wednesday.

For this afternoon, early morning clouds will continue to clear out for a partly cloudy afternoon and evening. Highs this afternoon in the low-60’s, dropping back into the lower-40’s for the overnight hours.

Tomorrow we will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the low to mid-60’s.

A strong cold front will move through late Thursday and Thursday night that will usher in notably cooler air for late week and the weekend. Mostly cloudy skies with afternoon rain showers on Thursday. Highs will be in the upper-60’s. With the front the winds will be quite gusty on Thursday, with gust as high as 45 M.P.H.

Behind the cold front highs on Friday and Saturday will struggle to make it out of the upper 40’s. It`s also worth mentioning that some model guidance suggest some wet snow showers possible in the over night hours of Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service In Buffalo has announced Winter Storm Spotter training for October 29th at 7 P.M. The class is free and will be online. It will cover winter weather including lake effect snow and other winter storms.
