JAMESTOWN – The quiet weather will continue throughout the weekend with more in the way of cloudiness on Sunday before the pattern turns wetter and cooler once again.

High pressure setup over the northeast has been providing the region with a great supply of sunshine and overall seasonable temperatures. An advancing Cold front will trigger off some showers on Monday which will continue throughout much of the week as the front stalls out over the Great Lakes.

Partly cloudy skies will take us through the evening with clouds advancing in coverage overnight. The wind will start to increase as well. Lows 37 in the valleys, 49 at the Lake Erie shoreline. South winds becoming 10 to 20 MPH.

Sunday will feature a good deal of clouds while becoming breezy. Highs 54 to 63. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 MPH.

As that front stalls out over the region, several waves of Low pressure will ride along that front next week bringing a chance of showers throughout the day on Monday. Highs in the lower 50’s.

The better chance for showers on Tuesday will be in the morning with the rain tapering to just a few scattered showers in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50’s.

Rain coverage will start to decrease on Wednesday but a few scattered showers are still possible. Bit milder. Highs in the lower 60’s.

Thursday and Friday are looking to be on the whole, mainly dry with partial sunshine and a chance for an afternoon shower. Highs in the lower 60’s.
