LITTLE VALLEY – The fourteenth COVID-19 related death in Cattaraugus County was announced on Sunday.

The County’s Health Department says a 65-year-old woman in the southwest part of the county developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite medical treatment.

There were also four new cases of the virus announced over the weekend, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 347 since the pandemic started.


The new cases involve a man and three women in the southeast part of the county.

There are 60 active cases with 273 recovered.

Meanwhile, 28 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Chautauqua County over the weekend.











The Health Department is expected to release more details about the new cases on Monday.
