County Health Department Reports 400 Plus COVID-19 Recoveries Today

MAYVILLE – The number of COVID-19 recoveries made a big jump on Wednesday, this as the Chautauqua County Health Department reported another COVID-19 related death.

Since yesterday the county Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard reported 436 people have recovered from the virus, with the number of active cases at 489, down from 847.










Of the remaining active cases, 130 of them are in the Jamestown area.

The department also reported 84 new cases and says the death involved a 70-year-old.





The number of those hospitalized with COVID-19 also decreased from 49 to 42.

The seven-day average percent positivity rate decreased as well to 9.9 percent from 10.3 percent.



















To date 5,875 cases have been reported in the county with 5,335 people recovering and 51 related deaths.
