JAMESTOWN – One of the area’s most popular coffee shop’s is giving back to the community today.

Tim Hortons is celebrating Camp Day, with proceeds from the business’s sales helping disadvantaged kids in the U.S. and Canada.

Blake Tarana, the owner of the Jamestown and Olean area Tim Hortons chain, explains that a portion of hot or cold coffee purchase goes to sending local kids to a Tim Hortons Foundation Camp.

“Between all of our 7 locations and then all of the Tim Horton’s in the US and Canada we will donate all of our ice and hot coffee sales,” said Tarana. “We donate it to the Tim Hortons Children’s foundation which helps local kids go to camp.”

Additionally, customers can make direct donations to the foundation at any Tim Hortons location.

Other ways to donate include buying a camp day bracelet and rounding up your change.

County Executive PJ Wendell and Jamestown Mayor Eddie Sunquist were both at a Tim Horton’s this morning, encouraging the community to take part in the fundraiser.
