MAYVILLE – The deadline to register to vote is just two weeks away.

The Chautauqua County Board of Elections are reminding voters about the upcoming deadline prior to this fall’s November 2nd general election.

The Commissioners say new voters must register before Friday, October 8.

Those 18 and up need to fill out a voter registration form, which can be downloaded via the Board of Elections website votechautauqua.com or by calling the Board of Elections at (716) 753-4580.

Additionally, forms are available at any local town office, village office, city office, library or post office. Voters who have a New York State Driver’s License can register online via the NYS DMV Portal.

Registered voters who need to update their address will also need to do so before the deadline. If they do not they will be required to vote via a Provisional Affidavit ballot, which will be canvassed after the election by the Board of Elections.
