JAMESTOWN, NY (Erie News Now) – Police have arrested one suspect following a pursuit but another remains at-large on attempted homicide charges connected to a shooting in North East Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police on Sunday.

Dreshaun Jordan, 23, of Erie, was arrested in Jamestown, N.Y., following a brief foot pursuit.

Officers tried to stop Jordan at the intersection of Kingsbury St. and Hillside Terrace around 2 a.m. Sunday.

As police approached the vehicle, Jordan fled, but the pursuit ended at Buffalo St. and Prendergast Ave. when his vehicle hit a curb.

The passenger of the vehicle – Mark Smith, 32, of Erie – got away.

Smith reportedly made a comment to Jordan indicating he had a gun on him. Troopers said Smith should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call State Police in Erie at 814-898-1641.

Both men were charged with attempted homicide after State Police said a man was shot twice and “severely” assaulted in the woods Tuesday evening.

Troopers were called to the 9500 block of W. Main St. around 6:20 p.m. and found the victim, who was then taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Services Unit was called to process the scene in the woods. State Police said investigators found physical evidence but did not disclose what it was.

Troopers have identified the victim as Juleus Windham, 21, of Erie.

With the help of City of Erie Police, State Police on Wednesday also found evidence connected to the crime in the 500 block of 8th St. This includes a tan-colored Buick with heavily tinted windows and a Florida State Seminoles sticker on the rear window.
