YORKSHIRE, NY (WNY News Now) – A Cattaraugus County man is accused of sexually abusing a child.

New York State Police arrested David Perrington last week on charges of first-degree sex abuse involving sexual contact with a person less than 11-years-old, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The 33-year-old was under investigation after troopers began investigating a January 17 abuse report to police. Following examination of evidence in the case, Perrington was accused of committing the alleged offenses.

The Delevan resident was arrested and arraigned in Franklinville Town Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.

He is due to appear in Yorkshire Town Court later this month.
