Jamestown Domestic Dispute

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was arrested for allegedly assaulting and choking a female, not allowing her to call authorities. 

Jamestown Police responded Wednesday night to a domestic dispute call at the city’s south side. 

Upon arrival authorities determined that 33-year-old Ronald Singleton had allegedly assaulted a female victim. 


After investigation, police learned that Singleton had choked and restrained the victim, not allowing her to call authorities. Officers were also advised that the victim was also prevented from leaving of her own free will.

Singleton was on scene and taken into custody.

He now faces several charges including unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing.



Singleton was transported to city court where he awaits arraignment.
