
(WNY News Now) – On September 22, 2023, at 02:46 am, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Road Patrol arrested a 28-year-old resident of Houston, Texas, following a high-speed traffic stop on Route 20 in Pomfret.
In the early hours of September 22, 2023, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Road Patrol officers allegedly observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed on Route 20 within the Town of Pomfret. The vehicle, conspicuously lacking operational taillights, prompted law enforcement to initiate a traffic stop. Upon investigation, the driver was identified as 28-year-old Sebastian Salas-San Miguel, hailing from Houston, Texas.
Following field sobriety tests, Salas-San Miguel was taken into custody under charges of DWI. In addition to the DWI charge, he was cited for speeding within a designated zone and the absence of taillights on his vehicle. After processing, Salas-San Miguel was released with tickets.
Sebastian Salas-San Miguel is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret court at a later date.
