Born and raised in Jamestown NY, Chief Weather Forecaster Andrew Stevenson has had a passion for the weather since he was a child. As a child, he would do pretend weather forecast based off of the weather conditions outside.
Andrew first joined WNY News Now in February of 2019 as a Weather Intern and by the Fall of 2019 he joined the weather team as a Weekend Weather Forecaster. In December of 2022, he was promoted to Chief Weather Forecaster where he manages the First Defense Weather Center.
Andrew graduated from Jamestown Community College in the summer of 2017 with his Associate’s Degree in science. He holds a SkyWarn Certificate from the National Weather Service in Buffalo and Cleveland.
Besides having a passion for weather, Andrew is also an avid sports fan. His favorite professional teams are the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers.
In his spare time, Andrew can be found watching his favorite sports teams or outside enjoying nature.
