JAMESTOWN – Things will be heating up come tomorrow as temperatures soar to near record levels with a goos supply of sunshine before more rain and fall-like air return for the weekend.

We’re on the heels of a warm front which will slide through tonight and in the process, spike our temperatures a good 12 to 18 degrees above average for the day on Friday. Things will turn unsettled and cooler again for the weekend with even cooler air likely for portions of next week.

Mainly clear skies will take us through tonight while remaining rather quiet. The winds will start to increase by morning. Lows 52 in the valleys 60 at the Lake Erie shoreline. Winds gusts up to 30 MPH late.

Friday will be a near perfect day with lots of sunshine and very mild temperatures. There could be an isolated or spotty shower in the afternoon. Highs 71 to 78.

A cold front will pass through the region Friday night, bringing back a chance for showers mainly overnight and through he morning hours on Saturday. Temperatures will fall rather sharply with highs only in the mid to upper 40’s.

The rain will clear out on Sunday with a sun and cloud mix. Still rather chilly. Highs near 50.

As a deep upper-level trough digs into the region early next week, we’ll see a better chance for scattered to widespread showers and maybe some rumbles on Monday with highs in the upper 50’s.

A few scattered showers will be possible on Tuesday with some peaks of sunshine possible. Cooler. Highs in the lower 50’s.

We’ll turn much cooler once again towards the middle of the week with only a spotty shower on Wednesday and highs in the upper 40’s.
