City Man Charged With Driving With Felony DWI

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for felony DWI during a traffic stop in the area of Dover and Thayer Streets, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Ramon L. Sanchez, 50, allegedly drove with a BAC of more than three times the legal limit. Sanchez, in addition, also allegedly failed to possess an ignition interlock device.

Sanchez also allegedly failed to submit to an alcohol prescreen device, but did submit to a chemical test.


A check of Sanchez’s license revealed he was previously convicted in the past decade for DWI.

Sanchez faces several charges, including felony DWI and first and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, in addition to other vehicle and traffic violations. He was taken to City Jail where he was held on bail.
