Man Charged After Allegedly Hatcheting Car In Road Rage Incident

JAMESTOWN – A 19-year-old man was arrested late Monday morning after he allegedly stuck a hatchet in the hood of another motor vehicle in an apparent road rage incident about 11:30 a.m. Monday near Prather Avenue.

Jamestown Police said Jacob D. Slater, no address given, was charged with felony criminal mischief and second-degree menacing.











Police said he chased the victim after he was allegedly cut off from Arterial onto Prather.

Slade allegedly cut the vehicle off and attacked the hood with a hatchet, doing $1,500 damage.









Police said he then drove off, but the victim took a photo of his license plate. Slade was apprehended at a Falconer business and remanded to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
