PORTLAND – An investigation into the death of 47-year-old Brian Heyden is still ongoing.

State Police Capt. Eric Balon told WNYNewsNow Thursday that State Police are still treating Heyden’s death as a homicide, and will continue to do so unless, or until, information is provided to change the case.

Heyden’s body was discovered in a wooded area off of Route 20 last April. Buffalo Crime Stoppers said, in June, that a $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) responsible for Hayden’s homicide.

Balon previously said that Heyden was homeless, and was known to frequently travel from his Brocton encampment to Fredonia on a daily basis.
